We love the great outdoors here at Dogfish Head, and being based in Coastal Delaware, we have access to beautiful beaches, forests and wetlands that are home to some of the most magnificent feathered friends in the world. From waterfowl to seabirds, shorebirds and more, we love getting outside to catch a glimpse of all the birds and wildlife we can!

This fall, the Dogfish INN and Dogfish Head are excited to partner with our friends at Delmarva Birding Weekends for OktoBIRDfest x Dogfish Head, October 12 – 16, 2022.

Throughout the weekend, attendees can book a wide range of a la carte field trips across the Delmarva Peninsula, including walks throughout state parks and wildlife preserves, tally rallies (with beer, of course!) and more.

Located in historic downtown Lewes alongside the canal, the Dogfish Inn is the perfect basecamp for exploring all that coastal Delaware has to offer. Holding true to Dogfish Head fashion, you’ll find an offbeat approach to style, quality, and craft throughout each of our 16 rooms and our Super SWEET rental cottage located just up the street.

With a nearby kayak and boat-launch, a winding bike trail made for our custom Priority Bicycles and some of the most beautiful beaches, our hospitable Innkeepers will personalize each guest’s experience to show that there’s no shortage of adventure right outside the Inn.

At night, gather on the patio or around the Cowboy Cauldron while counting the stars. The next morning, fix yourself a cup of coffee with our custom-roasted Basecamp Blend from our friends over at Rise Up, and get ready for another day chock full of exploration.
